Hattie Williams is a reporter for the Church Times. She was born in Truro, raised in Christchurch, Dorset, and attended Christ’s Hospital school in West Sussex. She graduated from King’s College London in 2012 with First Class Honours in English Language and Literature, and is an Associate of the College.
Hattie was awarded an internship at the Sunday Times in June 2010. She was employed full time as a sports researcher that summer, and remained at the paper part-time during her second and third year at KCL. Hattie was Hockey President during that time and went on to receive full colours from the university. During her studies, she was also arts editor, then news editor, of London Student, then Europe’s largest independent student newspaper. In July 2012 she took up a full-time position as a trainee journalist at the Sunday Times. She became a junior reporter and office administrator for the Business desk in June 2013, and has written extensively for the section.
In July 2015, Hattie was appointed as news reporter for the Church Times, and promoted to senior reporter in December 2017. She lives in London with her husband, Matthew.
